1968 Ford Shelby GT500

This 1968 Shelby GT500 KR is one of only 518 convertible cars produced that year. It has a deluxe Marti report and is titled using its original Shelby automotive Inc. number 8T 03R21618404415. This car was introduced to the Shelby lineup midway through the 68 model year, and was powered by the 428 CI cobra jet engine rated at 335 hp with 440 foot pounds of torque. The power is transferred through its three speed automatic transmission and factory 3.50 :1 traction lock rear differential. This amazing Shelby was ordered with the special option paint code WT6066 yellow with black interior and black power convertible top . The GT500 cars featured an upgraded suspension system with heavy duty coil springs in the front and heavy duty leaf springs in the rear. This car was ordered with the GT package and other options, including interior decor, visibility groups, functioning hood scoops, a rear spoiler, assist front disc brakes, power steering,10 spoke 15 inch aluminum wheels and AM FM radio. To complete its overall interior beauty, it also featured a tilt away woodgrain steering wheel, woodgrain dash trim and a center mount console. This is a rare find.
